A photographic artist for over ten years, I am primarily self taught and enjoy creating images that exceed my client’s expectations. Specializing in fine art and candid imagery of individuals, families, maternity, infants, children, pets, and events, my emphasis is to capture lasting memories in the moment that result in a visual story you can share for a lifetime. My goal is to provide the most comfortable shooting environment possible so that my images are a natural extension of my client’s personalities- something they love to look at and proudly display in their homes and businesses. I absolutely feel that photographic artistry is a collaborative process between the photographer and the subject and I sincerely value and blend my client’s feedback and ideas with my own sense of artistic style. My passion for what I do is evident in the immediate rapport I’m able to build with my clients and through my fierce determination in orchestrating the perfect shoot. I take the time to get to know each and every one of my subjects with the intent to fully understand each client’s photography needs as well as their photographic vision, which results in unique, creative and individualized portraits.
My approach is documentary in style, whether posed or candid, my goal is to illustrate being, depict emotion, express relationships, and overall, convey your story though beautiful, striking and moving images. Images with a genuine “feel” that consist of more than just snapshots- each portrait will reflect the authenticity and being of each subject photographed. My easy going and unobtrusive approach to photography create a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is always on you and having fun! Using natural light whenever possible, my images have an artsy and sometimes edgy feel but always reflect the dynamic relationship between the subject and their surroundings. Whether color or black and white, studio or location, classically posed or candid, I view each shoot differently and as such I strive to move beyond the look and feel of standard posing, stretching for creative definition that is unique to each client.
